I used herbs for 2 straight years for different tick-borne infections and never had much trouble with candida during that time at all. I have a handful of gut issues due to having had these infections for most of my life, yet with the herbs, I've had much less digestive disruption than any time I've ever been on even short courses of abx.
When and if you start to have any gut issues, or start to show signs of yeast, increase the amount of probiotics that you are taking. These are antimicrobial herbs, so you should be taking at least 30,000 - 50,000 units of probiotics daily.
Personally, I like using kefir the best, as it contains many strains of good bacteria and good yeasts to help replenish all that is lost due to antimicrobial use.
