Japanese Knotweed Tincture, How Long? And 'Do Many fully Recover Self-treating Lyme?'

No, there is no time limits for using Japanese Knotweed. I took it for an entire year back in 2011 and it helped to heal me from a 40 yr old Lyme infection.

Well, I healed from a self directed herbal protocol, and I know of several others that healed specifically with self directed herbal/natural protocols.


I think most people still prefer abx to all herbal, which of course, is fine. All we want is people to heal. Many will combine abx and herbal protocols too.

Both my daughter and myself are now asymptomatic. We are self-treating with low (1/4 recommended), long-term (1.5 years) dosages of Buhner's FULL bartonella protocol (minus l-arginine) along with some of the herbs from the babesia protocol. We have been using Japanese knotweed (1/4 tsp 3x daily as an infusion - tea) for 2 years now with no difficulty.

Our daughter was treated with 2 years of abx for bartonella before weaning the herbs, and frankly she is doing better with herbs. I have never used abx but started treating myself when I started her on herbs.

Many of the herbs in the protocols you see mentioned on this forum will need to be purchased online.

Iheartx - Most of us buy the herbs online. For example - Buhner's protocol, he recommends buying from certain sources - ones that he trusts have quality products.

For Buhner's herbs, I get my capsules from Green Dragon Botanicals, my tinctures from Woodland Essence and Sage.

I haven't started my protocol yet.

I started a few months ago with the old vitamin C and sea salt regimen, as that's the first one I found; but alas, it was impractical, my joints were on fire.

I have, within the last few days, ordered a number of preparations. I've ordered cat's claw tincture, Japanese knotweed tincture, and I also ordered nattokinase. As well I felt I needed raw thyroid supplements and L-theanine.

I will continue to take vitamin C, but in smaller doses. I also take probiotics, and will continue with them.

Thanks for that information, Traveler, I was planning to ask about that... if it was wise to begin taking more than one prep at a time.
