For me, right off the bat it was pretty extreme weight loss. But I actually attribute that to adrenal crisis, rather than lyme itself. I have noticed that every time I herx (which for me involves at least a couple days of puking and barely eating anything) I gain a couple pounds. Seems unfathomable but my doctor and I think that what happens is that the amount of toxicity in my blood from the die-off makes whatever T3 I've got going on unusable, so my metabolism all but stops. After the herx the weight comes back off. Maybe it's similar for you, and after you get to a point of less toxicity your T3 will become more usable again.
What I dislike is how much my weight seems to people to be such an appropriate topic of conversation. I guess because I lost so much so quickly, people are always commenting on whether I look "healthy" or not, whether I look too skinny or in the right range. It's pretty uncomfortable and makes me body conscious in a way I would rather not be.
So sorry you're going through this... It's terrible to feel so sick and also have to deal with weight concerns.
