Igenex Test

I've been seeing an LLMD in my area for about two weeks. I've had a chronic illness in which I think is neurolyme. It has affected my CNS and brain since I've been dealing with it for 4 years. It came up negative through LabCorp which I've heard is very unreliable, and I'm getting blood work for my Igenex test tomorrow. It is very expensive and I'm just curious If in fact I do have Lyme + Co-Infections, will it come up positive in this late of a stage and if it's affected my Nervous system and brain? I know it's very thorough, but I want to make sure I'm getting my money's worth, Thanks.

I had the IGENEX Western Blot done. That was well worth it for me.

I had other co-infections tested through Quest, which was a waste for me. Some people do test positive for co-infections through Quest or Labcorp though. I'm debating on whether testing for Babesia through IGENEX. It is expensive to test for co-infections through them.

I think you have to decide how much money you can spend on the co-infection tests. A good LLMD will treat based on clinical symptoms. However, some prescriptions for Babesia are very expensive. A positive test might help in getting coverage. However, there is no guarantee that I will test positive even though I have a lot of Babesia symptoms. You have to weigh the pros and cons and decide what is right for you.

I wholeheartedly recommend getting the Western Blot through IGENEX.
