I did a local WBlot and Elisa test at IHC hospitals in Utah. Both tests came back negative, with the Western blot showing ZERO bands positive.
I don't know where to go from here. Do I even bother with the Igenex test knowing nothing showed up at all on either of these tests? I am so broke and clueless. What tests would I even order?
Yesterday, I woke up from a full 9 hours of sleep, felt so tired. Went to the doctor and came home to sleep for 3 more hours. Went out for some food, came back and literally fell into bed from exhaustion, woke up for a bit, then slept the entire night without blinking an eye. Woke up this morning still feeling more tired than ever. My symptoms keep getting worse and worse. I'm starting to slur my speech a speaking is becoming difficult. I'm terrified of ALS, my voice is even getting hoarse. I feel like I'm literally dying from ALS and it's hard for me to function or work. I'm only 24 years old, so much is going wrong with me. Please help :(

Yes, the Igenex test is more accurate than other labs. You should run the Igenex Western Blot and also see a LLMD.

What about
just taking medication and seeing if their is a reaction??? Is that dumb? Would a couple weeks on an abx hurt anything?

Well first you have to get a doctor to give you antibiotics...daddylonglegs maybe you should start your own thread?

St0rch - Yes, do the Igenex test - You can do the Western Blot IgG and IgM - approx. $210 for both (total) plus the Fedex fee to get the sample to Igenex. (also lab cost for the blood draw - if applicable)
You can call Igenex and order the test kit. When you get it, you need a Dr. to sign the form for the test. Any Dr. - your PCP, a chiropractor...
Then get the blood drawn on Monday or Tuesday...to ensure it reaches Igenex before the week-end when they are closed (you don't want the sample to sit for a couple days).
You should also find a LLMD and schedule an appointment...you can bring your test results to the appt.

You should be tested for the coinfections. Lyme doesn't travel on it's own, and all of the coinfections can be stand alone infections as well.
Bartonella, babesia (microti and duncani), ehrlichia, anaplasma, mycoplasma, rickettsia

I bumped up your previous thread regarding LLMD search.

I believe that you need the Igenex test, your experience is so similar to mine.
Order the test today and find a lab to draw.
You can take olive leaf extract from what I've read here to start killing the bacteria and your body will produce antibodies then and will show on the test. Order that as well or go to health food store, I've not taken that so I don't have much info, others here do.
Try to stay positive, I know how terribly hard it is to do so!
Blessings,

A bit nervous to send it myself, as It's pretty hot her in Utah and I wouldn't want to mess the results up. Is it pretty simple? After they draw the blood to I just take it to fedex and tell them to send it next day?
What are the odds of the IHC test being Completely negative and the IGENEX one being positive?

I'm in Canada, so not sure about
the U.S.
But here, I took my kit to a lab (Lifelabs) (with the signed req.) and paid for the blood draw. They knew what to do at the lab. They charged me for the Fedex fee, but they arranged for Fedex to pick it up.
They had done it before...and knew what to do.
Regarding negative vs. positive.
I had the usual blood test here in Canada - it's two tiered. The IFA was negative, so they wouldn't even do the WB. Basically said, if my IFA is negative, then I don't have lyme disease.
I did the Igenex, and not only had positive bands, but I had enough to be Igenex positive.
Many people test negative, then show bands on the Igenex test.

st0rch;
Did you get the email I sent you the other day? I am in Utah too and the email has the contact info for the Dr. I see. I highly recommend you go see him, it was so nice to finally talk to a Dr. that actually had a clue about
what was going on.
