Trying to understand mycoplasma.

Based on my friends symptoms, the doctor feels she also has mycoplasma with Lyme. She wants to be tested for mycoplasma but the doctor said everyone has some mycoplasma as it is transmitted so easily and seeing a positive test would not change a treatment plan. . (She refuses antibiotics).

He also says that the test is not accurate as it is the smallest in size and very stealth. . I tried to research tests and i can see it for sputum, chest washings and cerebral spinal fluid. Is there a blood test available and what is it entitled so that we can ask for it properly and be tested. (The doctor will ok it).

He feels that many Lyme patients have mycoplasma and it is not mentioned much in the Lyme patient world by LLMD's.

Any thoughts and test name would be greatly appreciated.

Margaret teragram. Thanks. Hope you feel better. I'm interested in your specific herbal protocols that could help her. Any test suggestions that could give a definitive yes or no would be helpful to confirm if it is mycoplasma. Doesn't seem to be available due to the stealth nature of it.

According to Garth Nicholson, that was one of the substances in agent orange and the reason the families of the military families became so ill when they came home from the war. His daughter was in Iraq and became quite ill. He wrote about it in a novel type book. He also stated the Mycoplasma can be treated with Doxycycline. Probably more that they can do also.
