Someone on a Swedish board mailed the scientist:
I will give you the information with a word of warning that this has not been tested in vivo, not in mice, monkeys or humans yet. This is only a phenomenon confirmed in the test tube. The rationale is that longer term antibiotics wipe out essential bacteria in our gut. That actually play a pivotal role in anti-inflammation, subsequent auto-immune phenomena. Long term antibiotics can then set up a patient for chronic Lyme (along with, most likely, some genetic predisposition). The antibiotics were given for 4-5 days on, 2 days off. Four cycles. That's it. So, you would be done in a month. Hard to believe it can be so easy. If you decide to go this route with your mom and her physician, I would be most interested to know how she does. Good luck!
