In addition to the hooch (Chronic Tonic), I'm trying to follow the Buhner protocols for colds, (currently the flu), and multiple viruses.
In his books, Buhner lists so many herbs, it's impossible for me to keep up with them.
I don't even know where to start.

Try to start with the main herbs. It is way to much to start with all the herbs. He usually lists the most important and then includes a lot of other herbs for more specific purposes.
Maybe someone has some more specific info for you. :)

Hi Margaret,
Did you have a look at his website?
buhnerhealinglyme.com
You might find a lot of info there while going through the questions asked by his readers.

Hi there Marie!
Yes, I have looked at his website pretty extensively.
I'm reading the book he wrote on viruses, which is essentially why I'm starting to become overwhelmed.
I've tested positive (in the past) for three of the viruses, so I'm sure I have others.
I wanted to cover all my bases, but when you include borrelia, cos, myco, AND viruses, it's a heck of a lot of stuff.

I havnt read Buhners yet, or use his advice OR protocols....THATZ what I pay my Dr. For-LOL!!!
However, my LLND says Im cured of my viruses, due to U.V.B.I., despite persisting symptoms. She also said, since Igenix was negative that Lyme is gone. She didn't retest for virals to verify those have gone dormant. But she put me back on herbal Lyme tincture after sayin, "Lyme is negative"
Today I have aching muscle wringing pain in my legs, pain in toes, roaming pain all around my back and am so tired and just sat ALL day....but yah, I'm cured!
Anyhoo, I want to read Buhners but am afraid I won't be able to retain what I read-memory probs

Sweetpea,
Honestly, I would go to a different doctor.
Lab tests don't prove that much, unless they're positive, or significant bands are positive.
Maybe you should start looking at Buhner, or look into the Misty Meadows Chronic Tonic.
Regardless, all that stuff is a LOT with which we bombard our bodies.
If you knew all the stuff I took today . . .
I just hope I don't get diarrhea.

Margaret - I'm a little concerned - you are going to add Buhner's herbs to the hooch?
- You've been quite sick...and I'm just wondering if you should just do the Chronic Tonic for a while...and hold off adding anything.
Sorry, if I'm out of line...but I don't want you to get sick again.

Hi Girlie,
The hooch doesn't treat Bartonella, colds and bronchitis, or the multiple viral infections I have. I have to do something, bc even if the hooch treats Borrelia and Babesia, there is other stuff going on in my body, and I've tested positive for a number of viral infections. Most docs don't treat EBV, labial Herpes, etc.
Then there's the Mycoplasma, which isn't covered by the hooch.
Apart from Acyclovir, there aren't that many prescript
ions available for viral infections.
Say if I have bronchitis (which I'm currently in the process of getting {possibly}), I can't take abx, bc I have a history of c. diff., and abx give me diarrhea.
What else can I do? I know for a fact I at least need to add Cryptolepsis (if it's still available), and Buhner's general formulary for viruses, and also the formula for strengthening the immune system.
Sorry I haven't answered your email.
I'm in bed, trying to keep house clean and cook (and groc. shop), and a bit overwhelmed.

So Mister Mike, what are you doing now?
Are you still on the hooch?
I know. People keep telling me to add one thing at a time.
But now I have bronchitis, or something like it (acute mycoplasma?--I've had it so many times, I know the symptoms).
I also am in an active flare of labial (mouth) herpes.
I need to do something herbally to treat this cold/broncho/whatever mess, otherwise the doc. will put me on abx.
Today is hooch day, so do I drink the hooch? Or do I just do the resp. formula with lomatium, red root, licorice, etc.? I had the ginger tea all day yesterday, and it didn't even seem to make that much of a difference.
I'm also tired of having cold symptoms over and over again, ad infinitum.
I'm overwhelmed and don't know what to do or where to start.

There's SO much to remember-

So Mister Mike, which ones?
Sorry, I'm panicking a little bit because I have some kind of infection.
I posted another thread about
it.

Yes, that's very good advice, Mike.
I'm also going to ask my LLMD what to do in July, but she tends to be like Buhner; she really piles things on.
I might try seeing an herbalist online; for one thing, it would be less expensive.
Do you like your herbalist, MMike, and does he do phone or Skype consults (or she, sorry)?
I've heard good things about
Matthew Woods in MA, but that was just from one source.
As soon as I started using the ginger juice the way Buhner intended it to be used, and took my Olive Leaf extract, I started feeling a little teeny bit better.
I modified the ginger juice, bc it was so strong, I thought my head was on fire.
I hope I don't start herxing too soon. We'll see.
Margaret
