B ducani territory

B ducani in Illinois? Or was it a random exposure on one of our few trips out East to the Boston area? We are NOT outdoorsy people and never hiked or camped in any sort of woodsy area.

I'm shocked my son tested positive babesia FISH and positive IGM 80 for b. ducani.

I didn't think ducani was even an east coast thing. My child has never been out west at all.

Any thoughts on ducani territory?

i got babesia ducani and i live in NJ and haven't left the area when the symptoms showed up. don't hike or hang out in the woods only attend some baseball games at parks where my son plays. who knows where you can pick this stuff up.

I got babs duncani and I live in suburban Chicago. The tick I got it from was also in the burbs so yeah its in Illinois for sure.
