Has Anyone Tried Crypto-Plus (Researched Nutritionals)?

My LLMD says Crypto Plus can be as effective as prescription anti-malarials. It has black walnut and a few other herbs.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

We haven't used it but both CSA (cryptolepis/sida/alchornea) and black walnut hulls have given K babesia herxes at higher dosages. They were more effective than a malarone/tindamax/azthrimycin/minocycline combination.

I think it would be worth a try - start slow!

Crypto-Plus also contains Red Root, Lomatium Dissectum, Stillengia Sylvatica. I might try the Black Walnut Hulls and Dan Shen (instead of Red Root) with Crypto to see how that works. I'm not familiar with the other herbs. If it is more cost effective, I might try the Crypto-Plus just to see how it works.

I will try to look into the other herbs...so many choices! I'm not sure if it is supposed to be the combo of herbs in the Crypto-Plus that is supposed to work better or if the the crypo is supposed to be stronger. :)

Buhner admits that there are probably many herbal combinations out there that will effectively treat lyme and the various coinfections. His protocols are made from the herbs he thinks are best, and that he is most familiar with, but if something intuitively feels good to you, that you should try it.

I'm pretty curious about Black Walnut. I also would like to try Dan Shen. I think Buhner recommends it for pain, which I have, as part of the Babesia protocol. I will have to look into the other herbs to see what I can find out. I'm on the path for my right cocktail of herbs!

Crypto Plus sounds fine. Like rowingmom said, I have the CSA from Woodland Essence.

Thanks Sarah! Have you found CSA helpful? So far, I have found Sida more helpful than Crypto. However, I have not been taking them very long.

I'm trying to learn as much as I can about my herbal options.

Haha daddylonglegs. And I thought Crypto tastes like death. ;) Maybe I will try the Black Walnut before I try Crypto-Plus.

I was looking at their Artemisinin too. I did not see a price on it. I have been pretty happy with the Allergy Research Group / Nutricology brand, but my doctor said it would not hurt to switch it up.
