I went hypo about
5 months after going off anti-thyroid drugs for Graves'. That was back in 2010 and I'm still taking thyroid hormone replacement. For some Graves' patients, the hypothyroidism is temporary. That's obviously not the case for me.
I'm not sure I understand your next question. Would you please clarify if my comments didn't answer it?
One thing I'm hoping LDN will accomplish is to help my thyroid hormone levels stay stable (right now they're influenced by antibody production). It would be a complete joy if LDN completely stopped the production of thyroid autoantibodies and I no longer needed to take thyroid hormone replacement. It's entirely possible that my thyroid suffered too much damage ala Graves' = atrophied. In that case, all I can hope for is stable thyroid levels.
