So every since i got lyme last summer, I wake up with night sweats when pmsing, no fever, I know this sounds like menopause but i'm only 26 :-( I didnt have it last month... but i was detoxing. I also have insomnia and odd dreams

I was only tested for it through quest and tested negative, I always get night sweats when herxing too

To me that sounds like babesia.

I agree with Sarah....and I'm sorry you're dealing with this.

My research tells me that an untreated babesia infection can impede healing from Lyme. Babesia testing is even more unreliable than Lyme testing. Once again, it all boils down to a clinical diagnosis - based upon symptoms.

Have you reported these issues to your LLMD? What does he/she say?

Well I live in Michigan, I am unemployed (due to Lyme) I am seeing a nurse practitioner that is kind of educated about Lyme but really doesnt know much about babesia, there's only a handful of Dr.s here in Michigan that are llmd and none take my insurance... I also saw a naturopath that said I only had yeast overgrowth and said I probably never had lyme but something to do with peridontal infection, I've went to a dentist said my teeth were great no cavities... I've had bands 41igg 58 igg and 23 igm on a wb through QUEST alone, trying to get some help to send off to igenex :-( Im a mess! Never thought life would be this way

I'm sorry that you're struggling with this. Why don't you talk to your NP about some herbal treatment for babesia? (Or if you'd like, the pharma treatment is a macrolide, Clarithromycin or Azithromycin, with Mepron.)

Buhner recommends sida acuta, cryptolepis among others.

Babesia tests are really poor. Mine have all been negative but I know now that I definitely have it!

Agree! I think I am going to start over, start w/ lyme igenex then eventually hope to get babesia/bart tested...

I get all of that... night sweats, insomnia and nightmares. It's all cyclical for me too. I had bioresonance and muscle strength testing done and tested strongly for babesia. Then I saw an LLMD and he agrees based on my symptoms. He RXd a malaria med for me, but wants me to hold off while we attack the lyme and barts first.

I'm sorry... I wish I had some answers, but wanted you to know you're not alone.

I saw a naturopath that muscle tested me for all that and I dont have lyme or Co's but candida... which has given me NO HOPE! I literally feel like its lyme, I tested high ab and bands 23igm, 41 and 58 igg through quest a yr ago
