How does Sida Acuta work for Bartonella?

How does Sida Acuta work for Bartonella? I know Buhner recommends it for Bartonella but he doesn't say why.

Is it anti-bacterial? A cyst-buster? Protects blood cells or cleanses them?

And I've tried googling it and searching on other Lyme forums but i can't find any explanations other than he recommends it.

It is one of the strong antimicrobials (antibacterial herbs). It also protects red blood cells. Bartonella can impact red blood cells.

I don't have the book in front of me, but I'm pretty sure Buhner goes into detail in his books about the exact mechanism of the herbs he suggests and why.
