Has anyone completely recovered? How long did it take?

Well, I have - twice!! LOL! I had 40 yr old infections, and after a failed attempt with pharma abx (I got a lot worse), I detoxed for a very long time and then healed in 2 yrs with herbs only.

This is my biggest concern with reading the internet. You hear the horror stories of years and years and I got freaked out and very depressed. I went to my regular doctor because my LLMD is very booked, and she said stay off the internet. You are not going to be like everyone else.

I told her if I quit crying in 2 days I was not going to take the antidepressant meds she prescribed. I quit crying.

I have selective reading now. No stats, so horror stories but I will be as encouraging as I can and to let people know that I too have had that symptom. Honestly the myriad of symptoms can be disconcerting. Is this normal for Lyme or is it something I should go to the ER for?

I have a "friend" and she and I have seriously thought of a happy FB page. Something to give us hope and to help us just make it day by day. Something to laugh at and to laugh at ourselves.

I tried to close the garage door with my cell phone the other day. I got the f'n boxes mixed up. Laugh at my brain fog. Really it is hilarious.

Also, when it gets to be a real pity party, I think of those people in the burn ward of the hospital. Now that is pain. It humbles me, and I count my blessings.

Sgmar, you fight tough, laugh as much as you can and write me anytime for a good joke as to what stupid thing I did today. LOL!! I too want a date that this will end. I want finality. I just do the work and keep on trucking. It will be over when it is over.

Sgmar-You caught your infection right away. That puts you way ahead in terms of length of treatment. With proper treatment you should be fine in a few months.

The longer someone goes untreated typically the longer they will need treatment. There are other issues that come into play such as compromised immune systems, traumatic events and more.

Don't stress yourself out over something that isn't a reality for you. Feel blessed you caught it so early.

After one year of herbal abx, my LLND says Lyme & Co-infection are gone; but now for the real trouble makers that were there longer ie, gene mutations that make it darn near tricky to kill off any pathogens, & heavy metals.

With some, it's just Lyme bacteria & a few co's, while others have the environmental toxicity issues and/or the mthfr gene mutation.

So, YES you can heal from Lyme!
