I was tested for this yesterday. My Neurologist is the head of Neurology at Mass General. Just one of the many top Doc I have seen over the last year or so. I am blessed to live in an area with top medical institutions. But of course none of the MD's believe I have Lyme. I have had so much blood drawn that I am surprised I have any left!

His suspicion that I may have ANSD makes sense from the research I have done, especially as one of the top causes is Lyme! I am really hoping that this will finally make my MD's believe I have Lyme as there is no other underlying cause for me to have this. Besides constant Nausea and vomiting too often, my Neuro symptoms are

Peripheral Neuropathy
Impaired vision
Short Term Memory Loss
POTS
Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia

Has anyone else been tested for this or had any experience?

Many of us have had those symptoms, and have likely faced a misdiagnosis of that as well! That's the problem with seeing a non-LLMD, they rarely will accept that Lyme is the cause of many of our issues - they would rather believe that we have come down suddenly with 5 - 10 different conditions all in the same relative time period!! Which is actually a lot more improbable than Lyme, of course!!

I would say to not hold your breathe that this doctor will be convinced that your issues are from Lyme if they didn't believe it before - sorry. If anything, since they were able to pin a diagnosis on you, they will be even more reluctant to believe that Lyme is the cause than before.

But, best of luck!! One never knows.
