I'm sick- is it babesia or a virus?

I had to leave work today because I felt achy and feverish, just horrible. Last night I had bouts of diarreah (sorry TMI) and now I have a low grade fever, although I feel much hotter than 100 degree temp I just took. My lymph nodes hurt everywhere.

I don't have any signs of respiratory issues, so I'm wondering if I'm battling a stomach virus or if it could be my babesia flaring up? I am currently waiting on herbs to come in the mail for babesia, right now I'm taking houtyannia and quina from the cowden protocol.

What do you guys think? Just a stomach bug?

It's hard to tell. If I had those symptoms, i would be thinking something more than the flu - as I don't usually have sore lymph nodes when I have the flu.

If it's the flu, you will know in a few days...if it starts to get better...

hmmm - you're taking Houttuynia? Maybe it's a bart herx? (sore lymph nodes)

It might be a herx from the houttinuynia. Bartonella can cause fevers and make you feel very hot when you don't even have a temperature. Bartonella also heavily impacts the gut.

Try to up your detox. Hopefully, it will pass soon! Hope you feel better. :)

I have had an upset stomach from Enula. So, it could be something in the Quina. I have not tried Quina.

Babesia can also cause fevers. It can cause someone to feel hot to cold with a predominance to chill. I'm not sure if you're getting chills.

I was having chills and then the fever. I just took an Epsom salt bath and have been drinking lots of lemon water. I do feel a little better now, so maybe it is a monster herx. The only thing that throws me off is the diarreah. I've never had that as a herx symptom before.

Awe. I hope it passes soon! I have had diarrhea as a herx before. It definitely can happen. If it is bad or does not pass soon, make sure to check with your doctor.

Alka Seltzer Gold helps me to feel better when I'm herxing. Binders, such as activated charcoal, at least 2 hours before or after meds / food help me a lot too. I love Epsom salt baths as well.
