I visited my LLMD and MD last week, they are not making any changes to my current treatment protocol, and wanted me to spend the next month focusing on detoxing as I did not realize but have been herxing for probably 2 months straight. I thought all of my body pain was associated with the change of seasons and the weather getting cooler.
My LLMD wanted me to add Alkaseltzer Gold, which I have already purchased, and Tri-Fortify Citrus to aid in detox (My detox regimen has been the following: dry brushing, oil pulling, lemon water, walking and 2lb dumb bell exercises).
I learned about
a 5-6cm dermoid ovarian cyst in May of 2015, which needs to be removed, but was told I did not weigh enough in September for surgery. It was suggested by the MD to gain some weight and try surgery later. I have since gained 8 pounds (which I struggle to keep considering I am just learning how to go back to a low carb diet from a super strict candida diet). The LLMD did not think my weight was an issue and has no concerns about
me going for this surgery. I thought that it might be best to go for surgery NOW, while there are not going to be any changes to my protocol, and I think I am still kind of "early" in my treatment.
I am told this is a 2 week "full" recovery for a healthy patient, on your feet within a few hours of the procedure - take it easy a few days, but should feel fine within 2 days - resume all previous exercise routines within 2 weeks.
I wanted to ask if anyone else has had a similar procedure done, while on oral ABX treatment for lyme, and if there were any pointers or suggestions you can make to help me have a successful recovery. Diet tips, detox tips, anything! I am trying not to worry about
this surgery but want to best prepare for a full recovery. My immune system has been shot since around March, I would say I was relatively healthy before then, but my body feels a lot stronger now that it has in months- other than the pain, which i'm sadly learning to deal with. What could someone dealing with Lyme & Co's be faced with in terms of healing after surgery?
If this is relevant info, I'd like to also provide:
As a quick overview, my symptoms started after a deer fly bite in August 2014, dx "cellulitis" 10 days doxy, stomach problems August 2014 - January 2015; Body pain/joint paint/neck stiffness began in March 2015, I think it was worsened by dr RX'ing prednisone to treat my still neck before getting my blood results back with the "funny lyme" results... I have also had a 50 pound weight loss and am currently "under weight" about
2 pounds by BMI standards. Cognitive issues as well. Told by LLMD that it was CNS lyme, and he has also mentioned Chronic Lyme.
I was dx with Candida in June 2015, positive Igenex (IGM 31+++, 39IND, 41++, 81-93+) July 2015.
I have had a clinical diagnosis of babs & bart, reactived EBV - but do not know the severity of these.
Current Protocol - each month added the following:
Paleo Diet begain May 2015
June 2015 - Oral - Started ADP (Oregano Oil) 50mg 4x a day
July 2015 - Oral - Bactrim 2x a day
August 2015 - Oral - Fluconazole 100mg 1x a day (Strict Candida Diet started)
September 2015 - Oral - Doxy 150mg 2x a day
October 2015 - No changes to protocol. (just starting to add Yams and Green apples back into diet)
I am also taking a slew of supplements and can list them if it would be helpful! Sorry for rambling and thanks for reading!
