If he doesn't know what to prescribe, he is not a LLMD...sorry. But, if he's willing to treat you...and you don't have another option...then it can work.

Buhner's herbs: Japanese Knotweed, Sida Acuta, Houttuynia are the core herbs...but he suggests other support herbs - depending on what you have 'going on'.
For instance, I also take hawthorn (that might also be one of the core herbs anyway) - this is good for the heart and the rest of the cardiovascular system. Bart is known to affect the veins/heart.

There are other herbal treatments - Cowden, Byron White, Jernigan are a few more.

For antibiotics - Rifampin paired with Biaxin or Doxycycline or minocycline.
I think some people have treated bart with Bactrim DS plus Azithromycin
You can also treat with Fluoroquinolones - but they come with a black box label warning of tendon rupture.
I personally don't want to do that med.

You may be dealing with Lyme, Bart and Babs. That's not uncommon so don't let that overwhelm you.
