Hi Daffodil 1234!-
I have a sauna. It is made out of Canadian Hemlock wood.
I personally don't get a lot of relief from the sauna (I found out recently I have a gene mutation that makes it harder for my body to detox.) I have read of other people greatly enjoying the effects of their sauna. Maybe you could try out a sauna at a gym first to see if you like it?
If you do buy a sauna, start out slowly with time and temperature! I have read stories of people having a herx if you start out too fast.
I think my first time I sat in it for 10 minutes at 120 degrees. I Now sit in sauna for 50 minutes at 140 degrees. I try very hard to use it daily, but some days I am too fatigued.
I have read of some people using the sauna even after their treatment for Lyme. They use it as a "maintaince". I personally feel like it is good for the body to sweat.
