Does a high IGG titer mean I have Bart?

Is that all the results said? Did it not say negative or positive?

It should have reference ranges on the test results somewhere. We need to see those reference ranges to know where your results fall.

The testing for co-infections is worse than for Lyme, so it's not surprising that one lab will pick it up at one point in time and another lab won't.

If that's the case, it wouldn't matter where you placed the 128 or the 256 - they are really high, so I would say that you have confirmed Bartonella.

It's possible that they symptoms will 'emerge' a bit later on during your treatment. We often find that when a person has a high bacterial load of one bacteria - say Lyme for argument's sake right now - then the symptoms of any other infections may not be as prominent or may not be there at all.... until the bacterial load from Lyme is reduced and then the other symptoms will emerge.

This is what happened to me with Babesia. I didn't have any Babesia symptoms until after I had pretty well treated my Lyme and Bart. Then my Babesia symptoms came roaring to the front of the line!

The other thing you should be aware of is that we are seeing more and more asymptomatic infections with Bartonella and Babesia. It surely doesn't mean they don't need to be treated, only that they can hold back the healing from other infections.

Interesting. But because my IGG titer is so high, doesnt that mean my body is producing lots of antibodies to fight it/control it? Does that explain my lack of symptoms? Assuming I beat Lyme and Babesia, is it possible that my immune system would easily continue suppressing Bart forever/for decades?

The twitches could be bart. Bart seems to be my dominant symptom, and I had terrible twitching - body wide...more than one body part at a time...constantly...all day long.

rib pain? foot pain? swollen/sore lymph node(s)? anxiety? nerve pain? buzzing/vibrating?

some of those can also be lyme...there is overlap.

And, as we've been discussing lately on this forum - there can be asymptomatic infections - that will come out when teased with an herb or antibiotic.

Twitches and sleep issues could be bart. No classic bart though like you described i.e. foot pain rib pain nerve pain etc.

Could Crypto Plus hit Bart I wonder? I've had hypersalivation and a sore throat/neck for the last week after one week on Crypto.

You have been given great advice - my experience bears some of it out.

I had NO symptoms after the tick bite and a couple of mild peripheral nervous system issues along with super-mild Bells Palsy when I met my LLMD two months later.

My LLMD has always insisted I'm only dealing with Lyme even though I reported a few herx symptoms here and there that could overlap with Babs and/or Bart.

I followed the full Cowden protocol after going off abx and Houttuynia did seemingly nothing to me/for me.

However, I had some Babs-like herxes on Enula.

After reading about asymptomatic infections (Horowitz speaks of it, so does Bryan Rosner as does Buhner....as does many websites).....and reading a similar story on here, I decided to test the waters.

Lo and behold, I herxed with Babs symptoms on Cryptolepis.....and Lyme symptoms on Artemisinin. I can't say I herx with Babs symptoms anymore.....and my current herxes are either Lyme or Bart - always those overlaps lol

Oh, and when I switched from Nutramedix Houttuynia to Montana Farmacy's, I knew to slowly transition. I had Bart herxes.....and had them again as I switched from MF's brand to Woodland Essence (once I learned Buhner says fresh leaf Houttuynia is the strongest form of this plant medicine).

I accidentally took slightly more than double my dose of Houttuynia the other morning (I wasn't paying attention and didn't want to waste all the other herbs already in the glass). Well....I had such an increase in symptoms - stinging sensations in parts of my body I never had....and more buzzing sensations. What a difference a brand can make :)

While I don't know for sure what infections I have (other than Lyme), I'm finally improving by treating for the "Big 3" (Lyme, Bart, Babs). When you think about the fact that a tick bite is the "gift that keeps on giving", it makes sense to cover the bases.

And, I agree with Girlie about Hawthorn - I've been taking it since I first started Buhner in mid-July. I feel soooo healthy right now and I credit those herbs...especially the supportive ones.
