Andrographis brand recommendations anyone?

Use andrographis paniculata. I think it will only say andrographis. take for 8-12 months, you know low and slow, watch for hives, reduce the dosage as you begin to feel better. 8-12 months is not in stone, if lyme is under control or eradicated you can stop. (this is just my opinion, but I don't like JUST STOP. I would go low and slow decreasing, just in case something came back. Then you can go back up to make sure it is gone. JMO)

I have mine in cue and it is Herb Pharm and I did Amazon because it is the least expensive for me. When Buhner did recommend it in one of his books he recommended Montana Farmacy.

I am going to do it low and slow just as I did Crypto. I won't do over a 1/2 teasp unless I think it is the magic tincture.

Buhner said he has gone back and forth on Andro over the years. He says it is only effective in about 60% of those that use it.

Also Buhner is MILDLY altering his stance on Astragalus. He has found that for some people it exacerbates the condition. Interesting.

I would not worry about its presence in small quantities in herbal mixtures. It is worth trying as an adjunct to any protocol just to see if it helps. However, if symptoms worsen when it is added, it should be discontinued."

And his RANT.. The herbs and supplements in this book are NOT the only ones in the world that will help.

cd - I know we've talked about this in the past, but I think it is very wise to "take it easy" on the tinctures as I'm convinced the alcohol in them is responsible for my persistent Candida issue.

What do you suggest in the alternate? I think you know Buhner recommends tinctures for many of these herbs with his reason being that tinctures are the most potent form of certain plant medicines.

My book finally arrived yesterday (when I really didn't have time to read nor will until tomorrow). I did take a quick peek and I see Buhner changed his recommendation for Ashwagandha from tincture to capsule (I just made a bunch of tinctures lol)....and possibly a couple of other herbs. Still, there are sooo many herbs that he recommends in tincture form.

I also see that he has a 30-day Candida protocol.

While I still have no signs that I'm dealing with Candida, I was thinking of doing the protocol...

I am open to suggestions.

cd, I think you are talking about chlamydia, not candida for that 30 day protocol. And, please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought those were 2 different infections.

Yes, they are too different infections and your comment got me thinking my quick read-through of certain sections resulted in me getting things mixed up.

However, I'm just now reading certain sections of Buhner's new book more thoroughly.

On page 236 (Chapter Eight "The Core Protocol and Extended Repertory"), he lists a protocol "For candida overgrowth from antibiotics".
