LDN

LDN works for many people and doesn't work at all for others.

It has virtually no side effects.

If you are dealing with any type of pain, I suggest you try it. I've read enough stories of people getting relief from pain ala LDN that I think the suggestion has merit.

The sleeplessness issue can easily be remedied by taking LDN in the morning. Studies have shown that it does not have to be taken at bedtime as originally thought.

I started taking LDN in the morning because of this and had no issues except vivid dreams the first few days. I switched to bedtime dosing because I wanted to see if it made a difference for me. I can't say that it did.

I must admit that I stopped taking LDN last month only because I never felt any different when taking it - perhaps slightly more "even". Admittedly, I really didn't have much by way of symptoms when I started Lyme treatment....until I started abx and herxing lol

I tried LDN more in the hopes of it helping me heal from Lyme more quickly....and, even more so, because I'd always wondered if it would help with the autoimmune thyroid disease I've been dealing with since 2007. Well, my thyroid function remains erratic so that idea went out the window. And, it's Buhner's herbs that I started in August that seem to be doing more for me than anything.

Still, I think it's worth consideration by every Lyme patient.

I see you did herbs and ldn. Did you do this together?

Yes, and because I was/am following Buhner's protocols that include several herbs for immune modulation, I'd begun to wonder if I really needed LDN - especially since I didn't get the thyroid benefit I'd hoped for.

There are a bunch of threads on here about LDN - you might want to search for them because positive stories abound.
