Celery with almond butter, bake a chicken and eat off of it, avocados, carrot sticks, hummus, sauerkraut and organic turkey dogs, make soups and eat off of them for a couple of days. I love dill pickles, kombucha, teas, seafood strips, turkey jerky, all vegetables. And did I mention soups?? LOL! Bake a butternut squash and roast a whole bulb of garlic - put it all in the vitamix or blender and add some broth to thin it out. Yummmm
When I was really feeling bad I hit the health food deli and stocked up. That way I didn't feel bad about what my husband was eating. I am the cook in our house and that was how I felt bad, was by not cooking for him. I could stand to lose some weight, but not him.
I love winter because soups are so "in." If you need a recipe for any soup, email me and I probably have made one. Where I live you don't go by recipes often because it is so far from the store, you cook with what you have and you become very inventive.
