Dumb question: western blot igenex same as borrelia test?

I asked my doctor to test me for borrelia and she said I already got it it's called the blot test the one that tests which Bands are positive. Is that true? I thought it was a separate test

The Western Blot test? Do you have the results?

Either way, no, the Igenex test is a better, more reliable Western Blot. It's the same type of test but Igenex is a different lab.

The Western Blot tests for Borrelia.

But, the lab that you get the Western Blot done should be Igenex in California.

The western blot only lists the bands I'm positive or negative for. It doesn't specifically state borrelia so that's why I was confused

It was a Lyme Western Blot, right?

Lyme WB is Borrelia

Do you have the test result sheet? Does it say Lyme WB?
What bands are you positive on?

She emailed me a copy of the results and it's the correct test. I asked her to post it here.
