Just wondered if anyone had experience of using betnovate. After ears bothering me for ages now and posting on here about
it quite frequently, Doctor prescribed betnovate anti biotic and steroid cream to be applied in to ears twice a day. May try just using tiny bit on one part of ear to test in case get a bad reaction.

Steroids (aka hydrocortisone) are highly contra indicated in Lyme - I don't know about
in your ears, but if it were me I wouldn't. If it's Lyme causing ear problems then you will 'feed it' with the hydrocortisone.
I made that mistake with my EM rash - because of a wrongful diagnosis. It made it WAY worse. I wouldn't want you to have more problems with your ears??

bumping up for more views.
I know steroids are contraindicated when you have LD. But, I thought I read that the steroid cream isn't as bad as taking the steroids orally.
Hopefully others with more knowledge will chime in.
Also, can you talk to your Dr. and find out if there is an alternative?

Hi suzee!-
Are you seeing a Lyme doctor? If you are seeing a LLMD, please call them and tell them about
the antibiotics and steroids cream that was prescribed for your ear infection.
Hopefully your LLMD will know more information about
any side affects from your new medications.
Best Wishes!

Steroid creams are OK, in my experience. What is the condition in your ears that your doctor is prescribing it for?

I have had ongoing ear problems for years but recently much worse, first they diagnosed an ear infection and now they say its dermatitis in the ears, they are weeping, inflamed and dry flaky skin !

I'm sure that will be fine.
