Just got my son's Igenex results - opinions please.

So I had a positive IgM for CDC/Igenex and I forget IgG, but have had symptoms since 16. I'm 53 now and went through both pregnancies with full blown symptoms. I also have been clinically diagnosed with Babesia and Bartonella. Blood test show positive Chlamydia P and mycoplasma. My EBV lit up like a Christmas tree.

So my son's Igenex results just came in. I don't have them in front of me because the doctor gave them to me over the phone. She'll send me a copy.

So he showed positive for bands 41 and 83 on the IgG. She didn't mention any positive bands on IgM so it is safe to assume they were all negative.

He is 16 and was on antibiotics off and on (frequently) from about a year old to seven for recurrent ear infections and strep. He was also on growth hormone for about 4 years and that may have ramped up his immune system.

So before he started on the growth hormone, he had many of the same symptoms i do which includes pain, rages (starting at younger than 2). He also has ADHD, OCD tendencies, ASD, anxiety, insomnia, and short term memory loss (just found out about that one last week), fine motor deficits.

So a while ago I put out a post asking for help with the insomnia, rages, anxiety. We added tryptophan and Jernigan's Neuro-antitoxic II CNS/PNS. His rages stopped. The insomnia went away. The anxiety went away and the short term memory problems cleared up.

So I will start treatment with Buhner's protocol very soon, but I am not sure how long to treat. I don't want to stop the CNS/PNS because it so effective. He's 16 and it is hard to get much information about other symptoms so I am working off what I see.

I'm kind of stymied on how to figure out the "two months after all the symptoms go away" criteria.

No we don't have an LLMD because the one doc in the area isn't treating patients because she is sick herself. I'm in NC like teragram and k07.

I've tried to find other docs and have spent too much at this point for people that don't do anything. So I am going at this myself with your help. I have my pediatrician's full support but she has no experience with it. She did have a nurse from CA that helped her interpret the tests, but I had more information than the nurse did. I love my pediatrician. She thanked me for educating her.

Any guidance?

That was my thought, I'm just not sure how to tell when to stop other than to take him off the CNS/PNS and see if those symptoms return. I hate to do that because for the first time in a long while he is calmer, more settled and without anxiety.

gkamom - Well, looks like we have another thing in common! I just got my son's Igenex back yesterday too. He is 12. He has 31 IND, 39 IND, 41+, 58+ on IGG. On IGM he is 41+ and IND on another band but his doctor couldn't remember because he had called in to Igenex to get the results. His CD57 is 190 so he's doing pretty good. My son had a really bad reaction after a vaccine in October which led me to getting him tested. I wouldn't have even known to do this if I was going through it myself. God works in mysterious ways...

We are going to the integrative practice in Winston. They have agreed to treat him - mostly herbally. Although I may push back for an initial month or so of antibiotics. I'm not sure though, how do I know what the right thing to do is? I am going to go back through and read most of Rowingmom's posts because she gives such great info.

My other 2 kids are going to the same doctor over the course of the next month. If you have any tips to share on dosing schedules, or just anything in general I would love to hear them.

I have been doing Vit D/K2, Probiotic, Vit C nightly for all 3 kiddos since November.

This would be a lot easier if he were a toddler. He's 16 and argues about everything. The "drops" (our name for the CNS/PNS) have been working since we switched to the alcohol base. I can trust him to get juice, add the drops, let them sit for a minute and then drink it down. So I should be able to add tinctures no problem.

Actual he wants to just dump the whole bottle into a bottle of juice, but that is being a lazy teenager.

I'm sure he will argue over everything else. I'll eventually win but I'll have to keep on top of it.
