Update

Upon first joining the forum here and asking around for LLMDs I was asked to update on my progress from time to time. I've been popping in once or twice a week to comment on someone else's question and ask a couple of my own that were concerning me.

Well, I'm happy to report that after only a couple of months of treatment (after my initial hospital stuff that failed to treat me long term) I am significantly better. Other than obvious adrenal fatigue, I have very few symptoms remaining.

Most notable of these symptoms was my heart issues. I had a very rapid heart rate most of the day, and when it wasn't fast, it pounded like there was no tomorrow. Most of the time, I felt like I was waiting for my heart to fail. As it turns out, the problem seems to be related to anemia, most likely due to chronic infection, and even more likely, from Babesia. As usual, the hospital saw this in the blood work and did nothing about it.

I have tested Lyme positive several times, but never tested for Babesia. However, I continued treating for Lymes, and added a basic Babesia protocol. I think the key here was that I was doing what I could to kill the parasites, but also worked on building my blood and iron levels back up. I didn't complain since I was basically following a diet heavy in dark green veggies and steak. :)

Anyway, I'm off beta blockers now, since I don't need them any more, and now I need to just focus on rest and healing.

It's funny, after all the testing of my heart with nothing obviously wrong with it, and they didn't even bother to consider anemia an issue. Silly doctors!

Anxiety
Insomnia
Cold hands and feet (poor circulation)
Trembling
Brittle Nails
Ringing in my ears.
Sensitivity to light.
Pounding heart, especially after eating large meals.
Air hunger.
Weak Urination

And here are symptoms I have but have been reduced...

Dry or sore eyes.
Muscle twitching.
Burning flush face.
Frequent urination.

There's probably more, I just can't think of them right now.

Hmm, let's see here.

Starting out, when my Lymes was first tested positive by an infectious disease doctor, I was put on two weeks of doxy. I also had Bells Palsy, and unfortunately, that meant the doctor also put me on steroids (big mistake and probably why the doxy didn't stick). After being on that for the two weeks, that's when my heart started going crazy. Went in to the ER, and they decided I had pericarditis. That's when they gave me a med-line (a less invasive PICC line) of rocephin.

After a month of that, I felt great, but still had some minor heart issues. I was a free man and thought everything was super. After three weeks, ALL of my symptoms came back, and they were worse than before. Way worse. I went back to the hospital, they tested me positive again for Lymes (they probably thought the first test was a false possitive, which doesn't really happen, but whatever). They then proceeded to tell me that my heart problems is NOT Lymes, yet they have no idea what's wrong with me. It is of my opinion that a child could point out the fault in their diagnosis.

I did all the heart stuff BTW. Echo, CT scan, Chest X-rays, EKG, etc...

Anyway, that's when I went looking for the LLMD. I was tiring of spending money on this place, while not having insurance mind you. $22,000 was the final bill for them to not fix a thing.

I saw a homeopathic doctor first, but I'm not sure the homeopathic stuff did anything for me. It felt like I was drinking expensive water and I didn't really feel any better. However, she also gave me the DesBio stuff for Detox and Parasites and Lymes. That seemed to help some.

I still wasn't convinced I was on the right path though, so I found an actual LLMD. He put me on four drugs.

Nystatin - twice a day
Cefadroxil - twice a day
Clindamycin - twice a day on monday wednesday friday
Propanolol - up to twice a day as needed (he asked me how often I have heart palps, and I was like "How often??? Like, always!"

I took the Cefadroxil at first, then built up to the Clindamycin after a couple weeks.

Now I take around 30 pills a day as I've added other stuff to my plan.

Bunher's Core Protocal
Magnesium
Multi-Vitamin
B Vitamin
Chlorella
Cod Fish Oil
Sida Acuta
Ashwaganda
BesBio - Parasites (A bunch of stuff in it like wallnut husk, pumpkin seed extract, etc...)
Milk Thistle
Epsom Salt baths.
High Iron Diet (Dark greens, red meat)
Probiotics - Pill form when I can, and Keifer daily. Honestly in some ways I think Keifer is better, because you can sip on it and get continual doses of probiotics.
Green tea - Decaf
Also, for some reason the thing where they say to not stay up past midnight really is a big deal. Not sure why, but I'm assuming it has to do with your circadian clock and your adrenals.


I also stay away from sugary stuff, caffeine, and booze.

I can honestly say, replenishing iron and the sida acuta was the greatest thing for my heart. Also, detoxing really does make a HUGE difference for relief of most of my other symptoms, especially vision issues, as most of us know by now. Also, loading up on electrolytes and water tend to help my heart out a bit, but was only a temporary fix.

I've also tried collodial silver. Not really sure it helped much and was doing it during the homeopathic stuff.

I can say, the idea of taking beta-blockers scared me, but really wasn't that big of a deal.

That's the gist of it. When I have time, I'll write a detailed and less convoluted story and what I've tried along the way. I'll also have time to spell check :)

I some quick questions if you dont mind....You mentioned the "Besbio" for parasites, I googled and is it called "Desbio" with a D? (Lol, hey you did mention you would use spell check the next time in all fairness!;-) If that is it, it sounds ideal for parasite treatment! I have been wanting to try something for parasites but I havent been able to decide on what product! So if you dont mind...

Did your llmd/llnd recommend that product?
How long have you been taking it and at what dosage?
Any side effects?
How long do you plan on taking it?
Where do you purchase yours from?

Also, where do you get your Keifer from?
I have trouble finding it and making it homemade seems too complicated!

Whew--I know you dont miss those symptoms that are now absent! ...and haha quoting your "silly doctors" is certainly an understatement we all know too well here thats for sure :-//! I just dealt with one of those "silly doctors" the other day as a matter of fact.. Sheesh..It was a local PCP so go figure though.

Congratulations on the healing you've achieved thus far, Elliot!! And, kudos to you for your persistence and dedication - it obviously paid off. May your healing continue and those final symptoms eliminated!!!

Around here (Iowa) Keifer is actually really common. Our food store is Hy-Vee, and they carry it in the refrigerated health food section. We also have a local food co-op that carries it too of course. It isn't super expensive, but it does run like 4-5 dollars a bottle, which is fine until you start buying like a bottle a day, lol.

Yeah, it's DesBio, sorry about that! I probably shouldn't write posts at midnight before bed. :)

The LLMD I went to was very blunt, which I appreciated. His stance is that antibiotics are a must, although I know many people who didn't use them in finally healing. However, he did also list off all of the alternative stuff, and which ones he really insisted on. He was also the only doctor that said you HAVE to take probiotics. He also pushed the milk thistle pretty hard, since Lyme hits your liver, and more so, so do the antibiotics. He also pushed the cod liver oil, and other detox stuff, and insisted those were important too. I still used my own judgement, and turns out he was right.

Oh, I forgot to mention, lemon water was huge as well.

All in all, the most important part of this journey for me was figuring out exactly what aspect of "Lymes" I had. We already know I had actual Lymes in the most specific sense, but co-infections aren't even considered in my hospital, even though I had all the signs of a blood borne parasite, including anemia, and an elevated Eosinophil count. Mine wasn't WAY high, but it the limit was 4.5, and mine was a 6. That's 20% above the roof value, and Eosinophil antibodies are known for fending off parasites.

The one thing I intend to add to my plan is Teasel. Unfortunately I have to order that since you can't pick this one up at my health food store.

Garlic is another thing that seems to help me. There is surprisingly some mild controversy regarding garlic, as one doctor thought its actually a toxin for brain cells. Personally I'm pretty sure this one is bogus, as many people have eaten garlic their entire lives without issue, and he stood out alone in his supposed research.

Not many people can stand this, but I started eating entire cloves of raw garlic. You want to avoid doing that on an empty stomach though. This also will band-aid heart issues you might have if it's beating fast and hard, and for me, doubles as an anti-parasitic and anti-bacterial. Honestly, if you looked at garlic as a drug, I would pulse it like you do some antibiotics.

I'm to the point now I don't feel I NEED any of this to get through my day, but I continue to take everything to grow strong, heal, and kill the rest of the little buggers inside me.
