Please help!! tperc looking for LLMD in Boston area

Hi everyone,

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could please help me find an LLMD in the Boston area. My partner has been suffering from symptoms of Lyme everyday for the past 2 and a half years. He has been to upwards of 20 doctors within that time and none of them have seemed to really help. Or some have said they can help and then turn around and tell us they can't make a concrete diagnosis because of false positives and negatives in testing. We do not have the money for holistic options so that is not an alternative unfortunately :/ I feel horrible and powerless because he is starting to give up all hope (which I personally think is the disease talking and not him). But he believes he will never find someone to help him. He suffers from excruciating pain throughout his body, migraines, swelling of the legs and feet, gastrointestinal issues, minor seizures, vision blurring, the inability to think or speak clearly, and more on a daily basis. It has affected his professional life and career as well as his personal life and I want to get him help before it's too late. He's a 36 year old man that feels as though he is 80. If anyone has any information on a great LLMD in the Boston area please reach out to me by email.

I know they have a Lyme center in Martha's Vineyard. Maybe you could call them and they could recommend someone.

I'm so sorry your husband has been suffering for over two years with no help!

There aren't false positive tests for lyme.
Do you have the results of that test - you could post them on here for us to see.

So sorry about your partner, I understand the feeling of 80 y/o when you aren't even close to it :(

What about the Dean Center at the Spaulding Rehab in Boston? Maybe they can offer some help or point you in the right direction.

Tperc,

I second the suggestion of the Dean Center at Spaulding Hospital. They can refer you to a LLMD in your area and also work with that Dr and your partner to trat the underlying symptoms while he is treated for Lyme etc. I have benefitted greatly in only a month from Vestibular therapy helping my ability to walk and severe balance issues. I am really amazed at the progress in so short a time.

I also know an LLMD in Newburyport. If you activate your email, or you could email me for the name.
