I've seen that term here and there. Can someone help me? I couldn't find it in the Buehner's book then again I can't read or comprehend like I used to. My eyes move all over the place

Pulsing is generally used for antibiotics.
a short, intensive course of pharmacotherapy, usually given at intervals such as weekly or monthly; often used in chemotherapy of malignancy.

You won't find much about
pulsing in Buhner's books, because herbs don't need to be pulsed. They don't encourage the bacteria to seek shelter, so to speak.
Pulsing refers to the practice of not taking a product daily, but on a schedule of some sort, like Monday, Wednesday, and Friday only. Or only Mon, Tues, Wed. Or even one week on and one or more weeks off. Different doctors have different ideas about
pulsing.
The thought behind this is that because the bacteria will go "into hiding" in some way, the breaks will entice the bacteria to come back out thinking the coast is clear once the abx are stopped, and then when the abx is reintroduced, it has the potential to kill off a lot more bacteria than if it had been take continuously. This can be quite effective for some people, not so much for others.

A few more reasons for pulsing:
- on the days off your gut health can have some time to recover as well - loading up on probiotics without the abx in your system.
- From Dr. Burrascano's Guidelines:
PULSE THERAPY consists of administering antibiotics (usually parenteral ones) two to four days in a row per week. This allows for several advantages:
* Dosages are doubled (ie: cefotaxime, 12 g daily), increasing efficacy
* More toxic medications can be used with increased safety (ie: vancomycin)
* May be effective when conventional, daily regimens have failed.
* IV access may be easier or more tolerable
* More agreeable lifestyle for the patient
* Often less costly than daily regimens
- According to another well-known LLMD - pulsing allows our immune system to recover and 'kick in' on the 'drug holidays'.
