He struggled with it for about ten years, anti-biotic route never fixed it, he's been symptom free for around 5 years now - I think. His rates are super reasonable, he seems to be more interested in helping people, and said that, given that my husband had a bullseye rash, this is definitive evidence of lyme, and whether I got lyme from him, or from my other exposures, he thought I should flow forward with treatment, and offered to treat my husband at the same time. He would treat both of for the same consultation cost. My spouse told me to stay out of his health business. I showed him photos of bullseye rashes, and he did say yes, that was the type of rash he had. The naturopath helped me see I am a fixer, and it is his journey, and I need to focus on myself first. So I will offer my spouse going with, but I think he'll decline it. To convince him I need to surface a scientific study that states that the bullseye rash is a surebet sign of lyme. He wants to believe the same GP who I was going to, the one I'd be dead if I followed his advice. I surfaced correspondence from last year (forgive me if I am repeating myself) that told him an uncle died from a brain aneurysm. He should have ordered an MRA then. The politics of insurance companies I think. So, I like his approach. It will be $400 for the 4 educational sessions and I will take in all of my supplements. He will see what I need to add. He likes to get the system healthy, and get the body de-toxed from metals, and get household toxins out of the house and yard and garage before chatting with the spirochetes. He was soo knowledgeable and I was especially happy to see Horowitz's book on his shelf. He has read them all. Tomorrow I see the infectious disease specialist. I asked what to expect. After talking to him, I know not to expect much. I asked about investing in a full panel from IGEN-x. He stressed it is a clinical diagnosis, and the out of pocket costs, well, I am going to have to go into savings I don't like to touch for the naturopath, and also the fender bender I was in today. My headache was at a 6, I was trying to be nice to some little old lady wanting my parking spot and backed into someone passing by. I was going like 1 inch every 10 seconds. Tomorrow the Infectious Disease Specialist. I slept last night a bit better, and am off the strong narcotics for pain. The naturopath advised getting off the acetametaphine sooner rather than later so I don't trash my already hurting liver. It will be 2 weeks before I get on the medicinal THC. Sorry about such a long update. Progress! Take care of myself first. That is my mantra. That plus flow in the now with grace + gratitude = BALANCED life. I asked about the cost of the herbs to get going - I think I'll end up investing around $1,000 in my health, which, given the other protocols, seems like the buhner protocol route - more affordable. Anyways...immediate right action.... just flowing with making smart choices. My psychiatrist advised going the natural route, and not doing anti-biotics if lyme wound up being a diagnosis, and his advice in my life has been golden. I am off all pharmaceuticals and manage PTSD with somatic therapy.

The lyme spirochetes can be passed by kissing, intercourse, tears and urine.

I have not kissed my husband on the mouth since April 2015. I miss him terribly. No unprotected sex either. I feel like I am in college!

Multifacetedme, this is just my opinion, but if you have a doc that will treat you on symptoms, go for it and do not waste a dime on tests! Save your money for treatment. Just my simple old woman advice.

I so agree with you doc on taking care of you. You will find it hard to do as a wife. I found it very hard to put myself in the No. 1 position. As a wife we are generally second. As a mother then you are third and if you have more than one child, down the ladder you go.

Honestly, you really have to want to get well and you can't let "stuff" get in your way.

You have to give yourself permission to not do the housework, to make easy dinners and to let things go..... It was the hardest part of my lyme journey. Being patient and letting myself get well.

You can do this. It will not happen right away, but you can do this!

Thank you for the support. My spouse thinks he is a total quack and that I am getting cheated and is making this process very, very, very difficult. He is talking me out of seeing him for help. Interesting how words can feel like daggers. I was so sure when I got home, and now, I am at a loss. So incredibly painful. I know I am doing all the right things nutritionally, I'll see the Infectious Disease Dr., I'll talk to my therapist tomorrow. I am going to integrate the Cats Claw and Japanese Knotwood again, and then flow with the herbs Buhner suggests for some of the other co-infections based on symptoms I am reading about in the Horowitz book. This is so, so, so sad for me.
