The barn where we board our horse raise and show goats. I've seen many born. Baby goats are so darn adorable. I bet you miss having them around.

Oh do I ever miss them!! Hubby just rolls his eyes when I start talking about getting goats again - he knows it's useless to try to fight it!! I love all the chores to go with goats too - even cleaning their pens because even though it's a pain, it's another opportunity for me to play with them and be with them, but I think the actually act of hand milking is the best. It's actually like therapy for my brain (not my hands!!). One day, when my health is such that I can take care of them properly, I will have my babies again. Maybe the 3rd time will be the charm and I will be able to stay healthy enough to keep them for a long time!!

I agree, Tillybear! I posted that one here a long time ago. I just couldn't help myself!!

evian - don't know if you will see this post - but I wanted to ask you if you ever go to the Log Barn and play with all those baby goats they have there?

The market at the Log Barn is quite pricey...so we actually go to see the goats...and then we go into the store for some fruit...or a drink.

we go to the Okanagan almost every summer. Started before we were married - camping at Westbank...and continued after our son was born.
Last few years, we hotel it instead.
We would make a special trip to the Log Barn on some of our trips and we were lucky - most trips there were babies. And, they let you pick them up...and cuddle...

Kangaroo creek is outside of Kelowna - Winfield. I think you're talking about the same place.
It used to be free of charge - just a donation. But, people abused it, so now it's $5 per person.
If you go in the morning or evening...they let you hold the baby kangaroos and feed them.

We went in the evening and did that...and it was amazing. The emus got frisky and were running around, along with the kangaroos, and rabbits...it was mayhem...hillarious watching them run - weaving in and out of the people there.
