I think im now sensitive to perfumes and foods, and i was never allergic/sensitive to them before! My eyes water and head hurts more after ive sprayed myself and eaten food. Can lyme cause this? I think this could be a contributing factor to my ongoing headache

I have always had smell sensitivity and when I got lyme I got those hallucinating smells. I thought there was a fire close by once.
I have not been able to handle smells for a long time. It is horrible. I sure can tell you who washes their clothes in Tide! That soap is so powerful to my nose.
My nose sensitivity is not fun and is more of a curse. It can be embarrassing when I back away from people because of their perfume or cologne. It is so bad that I take my own shampoo and conditioner to my hairdresser.

yes, definitely - lyme can cause food/scent sensitivities.
I can't stand the smell of most laundry detergents or softeners.

Yep! I became allergic to my cat after 15 years. I could bury my face in her belly and be fine but after Lyme I sneeze like a maniac just by picking her up. It's slowly getting better though.

Yes!! I used to be very sensitive to chemicals when I was fighting Lyme. The only thing you can do is detox, heal and practice avoidance.
I don't have high histamine levels or mast cell issues either. It can "just happen".

Yes absolutely! Almost all the Lyme patients I know have allergies that started from the Lyme itself. One person I know has allergies now as bad as the Lyme itself.
It can be a catch 22 when it comes to the Lyme treatment. The antibiotics can cause leaky gut, which in turn will make the body even more likely to react.
