Ok, so anyone else deal with thick gooey saliva? My ENT says it's from allergies (which, out of blue, was diagnosed with many). Allergy meds don't seem to help :( I wondered if it could maybe be associated with Lyme or a co-infection? Or maybe parasitic??? Is there anything that could help?

Is it saliva mixed with phlegm? Does it make you cough? I get this at the beginning of a herx. I specifically asked my LLND yesterday if it was in fact a herx and he confirmed that it was.

I rarely get a cough...Sometimes it feels like post-nasal drainage, other times it feels as if it's forming in my mouth. I can spit it into a cup and (literally) pick it up with a fork. It has the consistency of egg whites (thick and slimy). I get it constantly, regardless of what I eat or drink (even water)???

Glad I finished dinner before reading
I think it's a herx. Mine isn't as thick as yours is but I take two allergy meds to keep the symptoms tolerable. That might help. I take Claritan D (otc) and Levocetirizine which my LLND prescribed.
