Nick - No, you are not going crazy. You have something medically wrong with you...and need help. I'm so sorry that you've been to so many MD's and still haven't gotten any help.
What lab did you have the testing done at? The Igenex Lab in California is the lab you should be using for Lyme disease testing. But, even that lab produces many false negatives. Unfortunately this is the case with lyme disease. Because we get so sick with lyme disease, our immune system is suppressed. The Western Blot relies on our immune system to produce antibodies in order to get a positive result.
Lyme disease should be a clinical diagnosis. The Dr. should be looking at your symptoms history, whether or not you have a known tick bite and/or rash, your exposure to ticks, and lastly, the testing is used as a backup.
You are showing obvious symptoms of lyme and co-infections. Those symptoms are enough to diagnose lyme disease...and then add the fact that you have pulled ticks off you every year...
I am so glad you found us here. I urge you to find a LLMD near you and schedule an appointment.
We can help you find one. Just start a new thread titled: "Looking for LLMD in/near_____" and fill in the blank.
