I think their intention is to do just that. So, unless you grow or wildsource your own, your herbs will be at risk eventually.
Ok, so I'm not completely sure if it is actually illegal to sell and buy it at this point. I have been looking on the FDA website and am not seeing anything but those warning letters to a couple companies about
their "preventative" & "curative" CLAIMS regarding CBD oil. It appears as though that was the issue, or is the issue, at least at the present time.
I'm not sure what to make of the claim that the FDA restricts it's buying and selling because of it now being classified as a "drug." It seems to me that what the FDA was addressing was the selling of CBD oil with illegal health claims that it felt put CBD oil in the drug category. Claiming that a supplement has any preventative or curative properties automatically places that substance in the regulated "drug" category and subjects the maker or seller to FDA regulations.
