Morgellons question

Because symptoms of Morgellons and lyme over lap so much, I assume a lot of us lymies have pondered whether we have it as well.

They are both causes of the same bacteria. So really it's the bacteria causing the symptoms and we just give a group of symptoms a name.

So my question is if we a treating and killing the lyme bacteria (Bp) then that is the same for treating a killing Morgellons?

Or is that incorrect logic?

I agree. It's the same borrelia bacteria. It seems Margellons is basically lyme with a couple unique symptoms. Either way it's the same bacteria that is the culprit.

What is the cause of crawly skin or any funny feeling of the skin? Malfunctioning of the nerves? I usually feel those at night when I'm relaxing along with some muscle twitches. It's almost like when you are active and moving around your brain is focused on interpreting other things but soon as your body relaxes it gives the chance for your brain to misfire again.

All the weird crawling, itchy, burning, tingling, stinging and buzzing sensations we have are, yes, due to malfunctioning of the nerves.

The reason they malfunction is because the myelin sheath protecting them has been damaged by the bacteria. Our nerves are one of Lyme's favorite places to attack.

I've toyed with the idea of parasite treatment on and off for awhile now. I have no other symptoms besides my various paresthesias.

There's a good chance my healing stalled because my thyroid went wonky in November and the monthly dose adjustments I got since then weren't adequate as they normally would be. I'm on my 4th dose adjustment as of two weeks ago and am starting to feel better for the first time in 4 months.

Low thyroid suppresses the immune system and impedes healing. I still have a bruise on my mouth from the accidental head butt I got from my grandchild in early March.

Even though I know my thyroid could very well be to blame for my current plateau, I became frustrated nonetheless and decided to change a few things. I'm now taking 500mg lipo glutathione daily along with 1300mg BID Borage Oil.

And, I decided to trial ADP Oil of Oregano and am waiting for it to arrive from Amazon. I'll start it when I know I'll have a a few "lower responsibility" days in the event I herx.

This is EXACTLY why im back on antimicrobials...

a few weeks ago I had this weird lookn 'pimple' on my upper left arm. I picked at it until the light brown 'pimple head' came off and it left a pin-head sized open wound that bled a little. It had(still has) a ring of teeny tiny spots that look like pen marks. It about the size of a nickle. I know, mention of a 'ring' around it sounds like an actual tick site, right? But my ND saw this and took a picture, and said its Morgellens!

I DID NOT like the sound of that either cause Id read aboutnthis syndrome years ago and thoughf, "Wow, people are nutty"! But here I am treating morgellons?

Also, Ive had MAJOR itchy skin, with a bugs crawling on my skun sensation, FOR OVER 3 years now and am just now getting the strange skin lesions...

dacarte3- for me morgellons was mainly parasites-dental played a roll.
Try ivermectin and albendazole and you will know if you have parasites-my
guess is that you do. First the itching sucks so you want to get rid of that, second parasites wearyu down and no room to fight lyme.
Give it a try-you ma need more than one round but one round will greatly help and let you know
Dr Y in St. Louis seemed to be the most helpful with parasites but you can do my test without him

Sounds to me like you have a jaw cavitation-which for me was the focal point of the infection. Scalp-face-Im not sure why people/docs look everywhere but there.
Dr Y had me take many different antiparasite meds-the itching got way better-like 80% better. He used meds-natural and homepathics.
The combination that clearly worked was albendazole and ivermectin-how many rounds-will you
need other-I really have no clue. One round and you will know but you are right it will probably take several. Know that if it is parasite its treatable-you will win this round.
Luckily for me Dr. Y treats parasites every week-probably every day at his clinic. I know when he was in the US Army he treated over 10,000 people for parasites-its in his book.
Seriously try the meds-FYI I cant remember how much albendazole I took but ivermecticin I took 12 mg 4 times a day. Dr Y hit parasites hard for a couple weeks at a time.

I don't know either. Find a good biological dds who treats cavitations. I go to Mike M in Mesa.I think he is good but there are others. Wth your symptoms its probably worth getting a checkup-find a dds that actually treats cavitations to check.
If you do have a dental issue this could really lower your immune system and let lyme in. Let us know
Some docs use surgery-some use ozone injections.

Yes when you first take antiparasite meds you can break out more and itch more-I just pushed through for a couple maybe three months and reminded myself that a die off reaction was the only way for me to get to the other side where I didn't itch. It good to know you are killing the critters oatmeal bath helped at this point.
This should know out most all of the itching and give you body strength to wok on the rest of issues-parasites drain the body
