High blood calcium levels

My friend, whom I suspect also has Lyme but not tested, had parathyroid issues that caused her to have wacko calcium levels.....maybe something to check with your doc about? She was also having severe muscle cramping, serious headaches, hair falling out and some other weird symptoms that I can't remember off hand.

I am worried about high calcium levels, also. As I understand it, levels should not be above 10 even though lab values will say 10.3 is still within range. Your parathyroid hormone level can be in normal range but with high ca levels it may still be considered hyperparathyroidism. My blood pressure has suddenly been in the 200/90's range even with an increase of BP meds. My eGFR (decreased kidney function) is down to 51 which should at least be above 60. My ca levels go from 10.2 to 10.6 but my PTH is 38 which is within range. I am rather upset with my symptoms and waiting for the endo doc to call me about further blood testing that was recently done. I am also working with my cardiologist and have an appointment with a functional chiro. A good site to look up is the Norman Clinic in Fla.
