Best lyme doctor in New England?

Hey guys I'm looking for the best lyme doctor in new england. I live in Rhode Island and there in only 1 doctor that treats chronic lyme in the whole state and he isn't very good. I'm willing to travel to Massachusetts, Connecticut, and new york. I know Dr. Horowitz is in New York and has written some books I am reading. Anyone have any recommendations or know who is the best doctor to see? Thanks!

Sean.scott256, we don't put doctor's names on the posts because some of the doctors can get in trouble STILL for treating lyme disease. We try and protect them as much as possible so they can help us.

One site to look at is this one for finding a lyme literate medical doctor.

You can email the Tick-Borne Disease Alliance at medicalinfo@tbdalliance.org for LLMD referrals and you can go to tbdalliance.org to learn more about these infections.

You can go to The Lyme Disease Association and search for LLMD's 3 times in a month. You have to register first. Here is the link:

The other thing is what makes a doctor "the best" in one person's eyes may not work for another person. I need to have a doctor that allows me to have input in my treatment decisions and be willing to discuss much of my treatment with them. Others would rather have a doctor with good bedside manners that will kind of 'take the bull by the horns' so they can just follow what they are told to do. So be sure to do your research, even with recommendations.

There's a good doc in west boylston ma. Last name starts with "L". Not sure he's the "best".
