So I just saw this piece on my local, really crappy news station: http://www.wfsb.com/story/31649143/lawmakers-pushing-for-bill-to-help-those-struggling-with-lyme-disease

My brain is pretty foggy tonight and I'm not up to looking this legislation up at the moment. Does anyone have knowledge of what this legislation includes?

On another note--I just watched "And the Band Played On" last night--about the beginnings of the AIDS epidemic. It reminded me again of how much this Lyme political crap reminds me of the way that AIDS was handled, or mishandled, and the sociopathic doctors who contributed to the deaths of thousands by letting their egos come before people's lives.

But I digress--can anyone give me a brain-fog-comprehendable summary of the Lyme legislation?

It talks about a US Senate bill. The bill calls for development of better tests, treatments, and exploring vaccines.

So basically nothing has changed?

I agree about your comment on the early AIDS epidemic. It feels similar in terms of the controversy.

I have written to my Senator women asking them to vote YES on it. I hope it did some good to write. I do it even though in my heart I feel like it does no good. I can always say, "at least I tried."
