I decided to check in with another Dr. of Chinese medicine to see if I could get the prescription re-filled from my last Dr. (who passed) in that I am almost out of the first prescription. This was his response.
"If you have been diagnosed with lyme disease, it is better to use antibiotics. If you want a second opinion, please call ..... to make an appointment. Thanks for contacting me. Take care." This would be my sixth opinion, I don't think I am going to waste the time with someone who believes anti-biotics are the better route in that my sense is that to really get at this, anti-biotics are super helpful, but herbal is what my body really asks for...and will see if I can get the prescription re-filled elsewhere...and if not, just continue to flow with the buhner protocol. Wishing everyone a wonderful day and grateful for this space. Really grateful.

That is a strange response from a TCM practitioner! I have been advised to find one but only a "5th generation" and I'm having no luck in my area. Do you know of a society or directory of sorts?

Oh what a bummer. I still am shocked about your doctor. Such a sad story of his passing.

but, I have a motto:

Never Give Up!

You have a huge area down there with lots of people and you may have to travel a bit, but get what you want! When searching also look for acupuncturist because many of those use Chinese meds. And you might even find an Oby that does also.

Pirouette and PeteZa - thank you! I think I will ask my Qigong teacher for a recommendation... or perhaps... seek some support out when I am on the East Coast...

I have a friend that does that Qigong and she loves it. It looks similar to Tai Chi to me. Great for circulation, balance and good body alignment. I think I need to do this.... thanks for the reminder.

Here is the link you you are interested. The link is good until about 9am tomorrow but I find if you open the window of the speaker, it seems to stay there past the expiration time for the freebie.

Are you willing to travel? I have an amazing CMD who started apprenticing when he was 4. He was head of the Red Cross hospital in Beijing. I found him by happenstance but I had amazing results with 3 weeks of treatment back in January. I think it is was really propelled my healing and got me to 80%.

I am thinking of trying acupuncture. I looked up my zip code on Traveler's link and it came up with 4 people. Is there something I should look for in terms of qualifications? Possibly questions I should ask them to find the best one? Thanks!

okay - I looked to the Facebook page in his memory and someone posted that his mentor (80 years old) is giving 50% off to his patients. If she mentored him, I think it is worth the 2 hour drive to go meet with her. I ran out of herbs the day before yesterday and boy - did I really start feeling crapty - they really helped with the headaches! Also, a lot more agitated, feel less balanced. I just sent them a note... hope it works out. I will probably train it up instead of drive.
