So what is the difference between hydrolysed collagen and collagen hydrolysate?
They are both the same thing. "Hydrolysed" is when something has undergone hydrolysis (usually, the reaction of water with another compound to create other compounds. This is something your body does on it's own too, like in digestion.) "Hydrolysate" is a product of hydrolysis. So collagen hydrolysate/hydrolyzed collagen is gelatin that has been broken down from a large protein into smaller amino acids allowing it to be absorbed by the body more rapidly and maximizing nutrient delivery. So essentially, your body will do the same thing with the gelatin, it will just take a little longer.
I'm not sure about
the odor issue. I take so many other supplements, my urine always has an odd odor depending on what I have taken when. (I really notice it with Alpha Lipoic Acid)
Glad to hear it has helped with plumping of skin on the hands. Mine are starting to look crepey :(.....I do hope it will eventually work on the fine lines on my face, lol! Crossing fingers for the joints too
