Lyme vs ALS?

Hello everybody

My mother has an illness with a high possiblity of ALS (motor neurone disease). As his child, I'm researching any other treatable illness like Lyme Disease. She has ALS symptoms which are confusable with Lyme. She has fatigue, difficulty of speak. She has also reflux.

Westernblot test was done and results are IgG positive, IgM negative. Elisa test was done 1 week later and results are IgG 1,03 (positive) and IgM 0,13 (negative).

Doctors here in Ankara / Turkey don't think that she has Lyme yet. Prevalance, here in my country, is not high as US or Canada. What do you think with these infos?

Sounds highly suspicious to me, but I'm not an expert. What are the western blot bands?

Hi ayladinc - welcome to our community!

It looks like your mother has Lyme Disease (symptoms, along with a positive IgG Western Blot).

While it's no picnic treating lyme disease...at least it IS treatable.

Is your mother able to travel for treatment? I will check my file, but I don't think I have any LLlMD's (Lyme Literate MD's) on my list for Turkey.

Dr Thomas Rau in Switzerland has about 100% cure rate treating ALS. Look him up on youtube and read his book.

Rau writes about multiple scleroris in his website, I couldn't find ALS Georgia.

My mistake, I was thinking of MS. Rau doesn't say there is a cure of ALS, he says treat and improve. Terry Wahls says big improvements.

Whether it's Lyme or not causing ALS, I'd bet my entire paycheck that there are multiple factors causing ALS and correcting some of these factors would slow degeneration or in a best case scenario, allow for some regeneration.

GH- I was surprised I asked Rau about ALS for friend.
I agree many of the same factors would be for all chronic disease.
FYI-Rau also looks and treats Dental and gut with every patient and he has a very good rep. people from all over the world spend tens of thousands to go there and get treated.

Root canals area always removed and the gut is always treated-for all patients

I've never been, I'm just a fan of Dr Rau. His methods inspired me to study the biochemistry of my problems.

He is one interesting guy. I have watched most of his lectures on youtube and have been his patient-

I think the two best are rau and Yu but that just one mans opinion.

FYI-they both start in the jaw-Rau has 5 dds working at his clinic-both told me dental is their strongest medicine. I go to St. Louis more but if money was no issue I would go to Paracelsus
