This is the really hard part of Lyme. I totally feel your anguish.....been there. You will get past this, it will be ok. I dealt with the same....the eye twitching is really weird....heck, most of this is weird. You're body is hijacked and you have no control over what's happening. Eventually you settle into all of this mess and learn to deal with it.
I don't have a bathtub so could not do detox baths, but got a 5 gallon bucket at Home Depot and did a foot/leg soak. It really helped me. I think the eye twitching was part of the toxin load for me. I put a cup of epsome salts, a cup of hydrogen peroxide and a few drops of a good quality peppermint oil. I make the water very warm but not unbearable and fill the water to about 6 inches from the top and sit with my feet in the water for about 30-45 minutes. It helped me in a whole lot of ways to detox. I also did Torf mud baths and those were pretty wild - it made my whole body feel like a shimmy was moving up and down it....so weird!
I think for me the neuro stuff really woke up when I had too many toxins floating around. My liver and kidneys were struggling and needed help getting all that stuff out. Look on the "new to lyme" posting at the very top and go down to detox methods and do as many as you can, as often as you can and see if that helps any?
I'm so sorry you're part of this club, but you will find that Lymies are some of the strongest, most intelligent, sharing and amazing folks you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. We're a force of nature and make sure you come here for support, you will always get an answer to your questions, no matter how strange you think they may be...there will be someone out there that dealt with what you're dealing with and will give you advice when you need it. You will need to "divine" your way to what works for you many times, but I believe we all have angels to help us through this, you just have to learn to listen to them.
Take care,
Jenny
