I came out of the Lyme closet!!

I just have to share!! First, I had my second appointment with my LLMD yesterday. Not only is my Lyme test positive...but it is CDC positive!!! Just got my Biaxin, Plaquenil, and Ceftin filled and will start on those tomorrow ))

So about coming out of the Lyme closet......I bit the bullet and posted publicly on my facebook page the following post. I was VERY nervous about doing it. Since I haven't had much support from people, was called crazy for so long, I had some very real reservations about going public. But I did it in support of Lyme Disease Awareness Month.

That bacterial equivalent of cancer. A good comparison. However if I had to choose I will still go with the lyme. But I understand the comparison.

I was actually crunching some numbers and it's about 6-7% of people have Bp bacteria in them. The 6-7% "seems" small but it's really 1 in 15 people.

That's crazy. So if you go to a busy mall and sit down and count 45 different people that walk by, 3 have lyme. To put into further perspective. I was watching a basketball game on tv and thought to myself there's 20,000 people in that stadium that means 1200 of them have lyme (whether they know it or not)

It's just mind boggling how the mainstream medical community doesn't take this more seriously.

I'm happy you find the ROOT cause and now you can do something about it. And you will get significantly better. I was sick like a dog in the very beginning, with 15+ lyme symptoms.

I'm not 100% (about 80-85%) and may never reach pre-lyme 100% ever again BUT you will feel MUCH better and can function pretty well in life.
