I was some what relieved when I heard Dr H state he treated people's neuro symptoms with SSRI'S and Nuvigil. as I am on both and the really do help. I wouldn't be working without them.

Also on Zith 250 BID Rif 600 BID Nystatin BID, Bolouke BID and Colloidal silver.

That is nice to hear. I hate being on an SSRI but it is better then dealing with the overwhelming depression and confusion although the confusion has gotten worse as the Lyme has gotten worse. I am not familiar with Nuvigil but am on fluoxetine and bupropion. One for depression one for the brain fog. He put me on these probably 18 years ago before I knew I had Lyme.

Hi Kct -

I just posted about this in another thread but I met w/ my wonderful neurologist this AM and we talked about the fact that inflammation that aggravates the nerves is the primary cause of neuropathy and nerve pain.

I take a couple things to reduce inflammation:

japanese knotweed (I'm up to 1 1/2 droppers twice/day)
Omega 3
LDN (low dose naltrexone)
Wobenzyme Plus

And, of course, mucho detoxing.

Also--
I have found that pinella and bur bur are essential for me to aid in brain detoxing - these tinctures plus ensuring yeast/fungal overgrowth in gut is under control (gut-brain connection) has nearly eliminated most of my brain fog.

I agree these meds are much better than the over whelming depression that comes with this dreadful disease. I tried to come off them and experienced it myself. What delayed my Diagnosis was I was already being treated for ADD and just kept treating it until it got so bad I thought I had MS. I've been on Zith, Rif, Nystatin and colloidal silver for 6 weeks and haven't had any noticeable difference, until I went back to My Strattera and Nuvigil. Fluoxetine and Bupropion and good choices if its working. I have heard of Naltrexone but heard it takes 3 months to work, is that true ?
Should I expect to detox since starting Bolouke I'm on day 3 up to 2 caps BID today.
