Friend with acute Lyme

From a post a little while ago I have a friend Who is showing acute Lyme symptoms. Migrating joint pain and GI issues. I started her on a month of doxy 200mg twice a day and high dose astragalus. I tried my best
To make an appointment to an LLMD but in the NJ/NYC area they're booked out for months. I have leftover minocycline 100mg, clarithromycin 250 mg and Rifiabutin (like Rifampin). I want to combine another antibiotic with her doxy for at least a month but don't know which one to include. Any suggestions? I wish I could see an LLMD so they help prescribe the right combo of abx for acute Lyme. It seems like she's on stage 2 Lyme but not sure.


I'm also giving her high dose cats claw starting tonight.

What do you all think?

I too am not knowledgeable on antibiotics but I do agree totally with Denikeef on doing the cat's claw low and slow. And if this was my friend I would get some Polygonum cuspidatum (Japanese Knotweed) and after she finds out she can handle the cat's claw, start it very low and very slow.

Make sure if you go to a health food store that you look for Polygonum cuspidatum as the ingredient. I have seen too many people end up getting reservatrol and it is made out of grape leaves. That's not the one you want.

I don't have Biaxin (I wish I did for her), I only have the abx I listed, I also have Sulfa DS.  I am going to give her cats claw and possibly japanese knotwheed, but start with cats claw and see her reaction to it.  She's very unsure about taking abx and does not know what to do, how much to take or really much about lyme. 

I don't know how to force someone to take abx plus herbs, I just told her this is a critical time when she needs to be super proactive and trust me, to take the abx and herbs.  She also has a stomach ulcer (or so she thinks) from taking a ton of NSAIDs for years for chronic migraines, so that scares her, understandably so.
