"Babesiosis is well known to interfere with the treatment of Lyme disease and the symptoms of night sweats with symptoms of respiratory difficulty it is absolutely necessary to diagnose this disease. The tests recommended are Babesiosis microti and Babesiosis duncani serologically and microscopically and the common medications are mepron with Zithromax. Other medication combinations are often required to completely eradicate and effect a cure and there an increasing numbers of other co infections being detected and each require specific therapy.. Global warming must include the new vector borne diseases since the loss of life from mortality and morbidity far exceed the casualty numbers from floods , hurricanes, tsunamis etc. The greatest obstruction is the medical profession since the education of our medical students, primary care doctors and specialists are not taught about the rapidly spreading epidemic infectious diseases. Agree with Denikeef's post. The voices we need are those that are silenced. And people wonder why there is an epidemic. History will show the government and the vast majority of the medical profession is on the wrong side of history.

The problem is (I know, I'm always the spoil sport), that Babesia doesn't always stop Lyme and other infections from healing. I healed Lyme and Bart first, then went after Babesia.

While I do agree with most of that post (and yes it's okay to copy and paste like that when you explain it's from Facebook - we can't always get the right comment to show up with a link only), I also have to question his statement, "the majority of American States are establishing laws to protect LLMDs"

Really? I was under the impression that there are only still a small handful, not a majority. Anyone with any stats on this? It would be very helpful to know.

Well I think his perspective is that of a Canadian where it's almost impossible to be a LLMD. So the US is like this LLMD paradise in comparison.

I'm really starting to think that Babesia-like protozoa are a major player in this illness. I read Rosner's book last year and I wish I had paid more attention to his chapter on parasites (which includes protozoa).

I think a lot of the symptoms people attribute to Borrelia are actually being caused by these Babesia like bugs. I think for a lot of people once you get Borrelia down below a certain level it becomes asymptomatic even if there is a decent amount of it. Think about all the people who get Alzheimers but never had symptoms before.

Ditto on Bartonella. I had some foot and bone pain I thought was Bart but I could never get it to completely go away. I tried Rifing for Protomyxzoa Rheutmatica and these supposed Bart symptoms flared like crazy. All the symptoms overlap and I think there are going to be more mystery protozoans found that are not really co-infections but more like the main villains.

Can attest, I'm from Canada.
We're not doing anything about Lyme here, besides occasional hooplaw in the newspapers.

I have to say though here in BC it's not difficult to get diagnosed and treated for Lyme. I live on Vancouver Island, and there are 4 or 5 LLND's treating in Victoria, and also one half-way up the island in Courtenay.
They can get licensed to prescribe antibiotics.
We have a few on the mainland, Vancouver area...and a couple in the interior of BC.

Ontario has a few LLND's as well - but they can't get licensed to prescribe antibiotics...so it's herbal treatment only.


I don't know why BC stands out over and above the rest of the Provinces.

Even my regular Dr. has accepted my diagnosis and to date hasn't questioned my long term antibiotic treatment...not yet anyway (kind of waiting for something to happen)

Also, I have had a lot of support from friends and family...(except one friend) - no one has questioned my diagnosis....and most of them are contacting me quite regularly to ask how I am doing.
