Good Lyme literate doctor in Florida!?

Not really supposed to give out dr details, UNLESS docs openLY advertise treating lyme themselves.

There are two who do just that in Florida that I know of.

One is Sponaugle wellness. He is VERY expensive and aggressive in his treatments. I was reading about him today. Many patients see him for lyme from all over the world. I have heard some negative reviews but he has a lot of press. He is certainly a good marketer. Maybe just hype? From what I have read from patients who have seen him is he does very aggressive IV's, usually in weekly packages that go from 9-32 wks, and can cost as much as thousands per week! He seems to have a very comprehensive testing protocol that includes coinfections, mold and other toxins and neuro. His specialty is the brain and neuro chemistry. He also works with former football players for concussion damage. He is in tampa.

Another clinic that openLY advertises lyme treatment in FL is lifeworks wellness center, right across the bay in clearwater. Probably more affordable than sponaugle. The doc there sounds a little less aggressive and seems to rely more on oral Antibiotics as well as ozone and other 'alternative' methods.

There is another further south near naples I believe.

Can't personally say if any of these docs are any 'good' but there are many reviews of sponaugle and lifeworks online.

Sure there are others as well. Florida is one of the only places in the south where there are multiple LLmd's. More so than Atlanta, NC, AL, SC. You should be able to find one pretty easily down there.

Lifeworks doesn't do oral antibiotics. Herbs and homeopathy. Also all sorts of ozone treatments, etc. and is also very expensive. about 4,000-8,000 a month depending on your issues.

Thank you everyone for your helpful information. I have heard about sponaugle and that is very expensive. I will have to look more into lifeworks. Those are the only 2 places I've heard of around the Tampa area. If anyone knows of any other places that would be greatly appreciated!
