Someone covering the reception for me, and some other co-workers, complained about the smell yesterday- I was so, so, so embarrassed when they sent the firm administrator to talk to me. But lo and behold her cousin had lyme, and had been deathly ill, so she really got it. Even the part about watching my symptoms, seeing what isn't working, adding new herbs. I explained the situation and told her I would manage it and she fully supported me in this.
My sense of smell isn't very good.
Just the smell of the allicin in its bottle, whew, when you open it up it is potent. And also, I think maybe the smell of the herbs I am preparing from bulk powder. SO the thing to do is get some small glass jam jars. Go OUTSIDE on your break and take them, and take chlorella so you yourself don't smell, and pray you don't belch! Interesting, how someone healing, the smell of their herbs, gripe to make it go away - but the smell of powerful crud in relation to some people's lunches, its okay. Its okay for your lunch to stink, but not your healing stuff. Nice to have humor and not take it personally, but be professional and grateful for the feedback. I certainly don't want to offend anyone's nose. No clients noticed, and that is the important thing. I hope my sense of smell comes back someday! I thought it had.. but no... not yet.
