Hi Sahzer!
Welcome to our community! I'm so glad you found us.
There is a resource you may find very helpful:
www.ticktalkireland.org/ Testing for these infections is actually not very good, as the Lyme bacteria lowers our immune function. And since the usual testing is antibody testing, it takes a normal immune function to produce those antibodies. Even DNA and other testing that is currently available is poor since the Lyme bacteria doesn't live in the blood stream, but lives, instead, in tissues, organs and other places in the body, only going into the blood stream for reproduction. So there are a very high number of seronegative (false negative) Lyme patients. But, since it's the only testing we have available, many still try to use it to get a positive test for insurance purposes or for peace of mind. It's understandable, just not always possible.
I would, however encourage you to get a Western Blot as one of the tests, as it will show specific "bands", and if you have an IND or positive on what is known as a Lyme specific band, then we know you have Lyme disease.
